The COmotion Theatre School Principals


Sarah Campbell (Pinkney)

Sarah Campbell trained as a dancer at the Carol Christian Theatre School and as an actor at the Wycombe Swan Youth Theatre. Sarah began teaching in theatre schools at the age of 18 and has put on over 20 musicals with young people in the last 10 years as well as coach students through their LAMDA drama examinations.

Sarah studied Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway University of London and after graduating went on tour in many musical productions including Thomas the Tank Engine Live Arena Tour, The Book of Job the Musical and various pantomimes.

Now Sarah is a full time teacher of Drama and Performing Arts, and her vast knowledge of dance and musical theatre technique, allows the students of COmotion Theatre School to train as triple threat performers.


Jemma Starzecki (Gray)

Jemma Starzecki trained at the Italia Conti and Sylvia Young theatre schools.

Jemma has appeared in several major film and television productions as well as receiving professional training in television presenting with accredited casting director Katharine Wolfe.

Jemma studied studio production and post production sound design at Royal Holloway University of London. Since graduating, Jemma has been teaching film and television acting at one of the UK’s fastest growing theatre academies. Jemma’s invaluable media experience will add a further dimension to the curriculum at COmotion Theatre School.

Sophie Torrent

Sophie Torrent started choreographing at the age of 16 when she studied A level Dance at Swakeleys School. She then went on to choreograph for community theatres. With a background of high level dance training from R.A.D she studied contemporary dance for two years, performing at Sadlers Wells and Rambert Dance Company. Not to hide in the shadows Sophie also picked up Irish Dance as an extra-curricular and competed at major championships all over the country. 

She then went on to study Drama at the University of Greenwich. In her 3 years she performed in almost all the productions which involved physical theatre as a drama form. After graduating Sophie is looking forward to using her skills to teach others and help COmotion Theatre School grow.

Beth Day

Beth has been attending weekend dance and drama classes since the age of 11 and has taken part in many performances including musicals, dance shows, plays and she has even had experience as a dancer for Disney Channel.

For the past two years Beth has been writing, directing, acting in and editing short films that have been entered into National Competitions and all her films have finished in the top 10 in her age category.

Beth is currently studying for her GCSE in Drama as well as nine other subjects and in September she plans to study four A-levels one of which is Drama, in order that she can attend the Central School of Speech and Drama in London to study Drama, Applied Theatre and Education.
